| Zoo Boo |
ZooBoo is an annual event put on by Sigma Alpha Epsilon. The event is held at the Hattiesburg Zoo. All the money raised from this event is given back to the Hattiesburg Zoo to better their facilities and care for the animals. ZooBoo is open to the public and it is a chance for all kids to come and have a safe and fun environment to Trick-Or-Treat at. There are numerous games and activities for the children to play and participate in.
For the past 16 years, the men of Sigma Alpha Epsilon have been doing ZooBoo to help out the community of Hattiesburg. ZooBoo give kids a place to enjoy Halloween and at the same time it gives the fraternity members a chance to give back to the community and form a stronger bond of brotherhood by getting extra time together as a chapter. |

| True Gentlemen Day of Service |
April 21-23, 2006
Participate in SAE's largest service project ¡V the True Gentleman Day of Service ¡V on April 24-26, 2009. Now in its eighth year, the True Gentleman Day of Service connects our Fraternity to a larger initiative, National Youth Service Day. Together, these events challenge each SAE chapter to live the ideals of the True Gentleman.
Service by our chapter
Mississippi Sigma has brought in many hours of community service every year since we were established at the University of Southern Miss.
To capture the success of the project, we let the Fraternity Service Center know about our plans to participate. Then, during the event, we will take a few pictures of the work that we do during the project. After the event, we send a brief write-up about our event and send pictures that captured the day to the Fraternity Service Center. This lets our nationals know all of the work that Mississippi Sigma has done.
Service around the nation of SAE
Last year, 114 groups participated. Chapters organized Easter egg hunts, volunteered at state parks, distributed organ donation information, cleaned up Adopt-A-highway roadway, and completed many other projects. Any service or philanthropic project is encouraged. This year, chapters are especially encouraged to to consider sponsoring or participating in an event to raise funds or provide relief to the survivors of Hurricane Katrina. Chapter can work with your local campus service and philanthropy coordinators to discover what efforts are already underway that you could partner with or participate in, or you can organize your own event.
