Philanthropy

  • ZOO BOO

The men of ΣΑΕ donate over 100 service hours in one week each October. The Hattiesburg Zoo hosts a week long alternative to trick-or-treating each year. Roughly 30 stations are located around the Zoo every night leading up to Halloween. The men of Sigma Alpha Epsilon work each of these stations helping children play different games in order to win prizes. The event has been sponsored by Raising Canes, and the Hattiesburg Public Libraries.

  • Charity Bowl

Sigma Alpha Epsilon Charity Bowl is an annual philanthropy fundraiser held each year at M.M. Roberts Stadium. The event is a full contact football game between Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and Pi Kappa Alpha. The game is on Tuesday, April 19th, 2011 at 5:00 p.m.

In addition to football, Charity Bowl offers invaluable help to some very special people in the Hattiesburg Area. For the past Thirteen years Charity Bowl has been fortunate enough to raise in excess of $65,000 in support of Hattiesburg Civitan Camp, an annual summer camp for mentally handicapped citizens.
